We are looking for Installation HSE-Managers to join the Installation Services team, in several operational regions such as Northern Sweden, Mid-Sweden and Southern Finland.
The main purpose of the role is to support and develop Nordec construction site operations from a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) point of view in respective operational areas. For construction sites where dedicated HSE resources are not a part of the project team full time, focus will be on providing guidance and support to the site manager and/or project manager to ensure effective HSE practices.
The HSE Manager is responsible for overseeing HSE practices at all construction sites within their designated operational area or assigned region. This includes providing HSE-support and guidance to each site, regardless of whether dedicated HSE resources are a part of the project team or not.
Installation HSE Managers report directly to the Installation team leader in designated areas and for areas without team leader, to the Installation manager. The HSE managers are part of the Installation Services Unit. Directional management and strategic leadership for this role will be provided by the HSE management team within Nordec Group’s PMO, ensuring alignment with Nordec Group’s standards and development objectives. The HSE Manager will collaborate closely with site managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to implement best practices and maintain compliance across all projects in their operational area.
As a Installation HSE Manager, you will play a key role in:
Supporting site management with HSE-implementation during site planning, start-up, execution and decommissioning in assigned regional construction sites. Guiding HSE supervisors work at larger sites.
Verifying compliance with legislative, client, and internal health, safety, environmental, and chemical safety requirements, including ensuring personnel and subcontractors possess valid HSE permits, certificates, and training.
Monitoring site HSE performance (including subcontractors) by conducting safety and environmental rounds and documenting safety observations and environmental reports.
In co-operation with site management, preparing and supporting site-specific risk assessments, RAMS, maintaining up-to-date chemical inventories, chemical risk assessments, and conducting HSE- inductions and training.
Support and manage external and temporary HSE resources in their work at sites and make sure that their ways of working are aligned with, and compliant with Nordecs values, expectations, processes, guidelines, project needs and strategic targets.
Key success factors in this role are:
Ability to foster a culture of safety, responsibility and collaboration.
Minimum 5+ years of experience as an HSE Manager in construction or industrial projects.
Proven track record in leading HSE activities across multiple sites and subcontractors.
Familiarity with Nordic HSE legislation and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in using digital tools for HSE reporting and documentation (e.g. Dalux, Ichemistry, incident reporting systems).
Strong communication and coaching skills to support site managers and foremen.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across assigned geographical area and cross-functional departments.

Work is carried out in close collaboration and under the strategic direction and leadership of the PMO-level HSE management team. Regular travelling is expected in this role.
