We’re looking for an experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Piteå for a permanent full-time position. In this role you will be supporting a dynamic project-based business in the construction industry. You’ll handle daily AR and AP processes, manage VAT reporting, and take responsibility for statutory reporting to SCB. This role is essential for accurate financial records, cash flow management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling customer invoicing, managing collections, and reconciling accounts receivable

• Overseeing supplier invoices, processing payments, and ensuring accurate AP reconciliations

• Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations

• Completing SCB reports accurately and on time

• Supporting month-end close, audits, and financial reporting

• Maintaining accurate financial records and driving process improvements

Key success factors in this role are

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar AR/AP role

• A relevant financial or accounting qualification (degree, diploma, or equivalent)

• Solid understanding of VAT regulations and hands-on experience with statutory reporting

• Strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting

• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken

• A detail-oriented, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Previous experience in construction or project-based finance is an advantage
