We are now looking for a Category Manager, Site Materials to strengthen our Sourcing organisation and to secure Nordec’s capacity, competitiveness and profitability through professional site materials sourcing.
About the role
In this role, you are responsible for leading the site materials category across Nordec’s projects. Your mission is to develop category strategies, build strong supplier collaboration models, and ensure timely, cost-efficient and high-quality delivery of site materials in line with business needs.
You work closely with Project Management, Sales, Site Management and the wider Sourcing organisation, acting as a key commercial partner throughout both offer and execution phases. The role combines strategic category ownership with hands-on operational support.
Your key responsibilities
Lead and develop the site materials category, including category strategies and sourcing models
Build and manage a competitive and qualified supplier base
Develop supplier collaboration, new sourcing channels and framework agreements
Lead supplier negotiations and prepare general agreements
Support Sales and Project teams during offer and execution phases
Ensure availability, delivery accuracy and commercial performance of site materials
Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and ways of working
What we expect from you
Relevant higher education (BSc or MSc) in engineering, construction management or a commercial discipline
Several years of experience in category management or project sourcing, preferably within construction or industrial projects
Strong understanding of site materials and related supply chains
Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
Ability to work independently, make decisions and take responsibility
Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments
Structured, solution-oriented and business-driven mindset
Good IT skills (MS Office); experience with sourcing tools is an advantage
Fluency in English; Finnish and Swedish are considered an asset
