We are looking for a Subcontracting Engineer to join our team in Oborniki, Poland.

As a Subcontracting Engineer, you are involved for the procurement of steel structures in projects, acting as a link between our project organisation, our factory, and steel structure manufacturers. You will work as part of a team responsible for steel structure sourcing in Poland. You will work closely with the local steel frame subcontracting team as well as other international team members.

The role includes both routine system-related tasks and active negotiations and communication with suppliers and other stakeholders

Key responsibilities

• Managing requests for quotations and purchase orders

• Reviewing drawing packages and transferring them into systems

• Managing revisions and handling changes

• Negotiating with suppliers

• Collaborating with project managers, production engineers, logistics teams, and site personnel

• Managing costs and delivery schedules

• Working with different IT-systems

We are looking for

• Relevant educational background (e.g. Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer)

• A calm, solution-oriented and proactive attitude

• Knowledge of steel structures or experience in procurement

• Fluent Polish (mandatory)

• A strong command of English, both spoken and written

• Good IT skills

• Background in construction or workshop industry (e.g. summer job experience)

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics systems
